This is an issue that's on my mind all the time when writing. The dark brooding guys are always the appealing ones, but in life, let me tell you, they're not so great. I've got a nice guy in the book I'm writing and I'm aware that it's a risk! But, at least, the book is a comedy and not dark or dramatic. Dark and dramatic seems to call for danger (all those "d" words belong together, I guess).

Funny, I don't think of Gale and Damon in the same bad boy category. Damon is truly a bad boy. He does what he wants and doesn't really care about the consequences. I also am not sure I would want to deal with the "drama" and instability in a real relationship that would come with Damon. I think it is fun to live it vicariously through a book or a show but in real life I would prefer Stefan. Gale though is responsible and strong. He isn't a "words/talker" the way Peeta is - my guess is that he would be more action than talk - but still a good guy in many ways.

As far as teams go, I love Peeta. I guess I just like the nice guy, in life I have dated both the nice guy and the not nice guy. Currently am in almost 3 year long relationship with the nice guy, and let me tell you, it's nice to have rock solid love and not worry about him trying to hook up with other girls or anything. So, yeah I think my life experience predisposes me to want the nice guy to win.

Damon is my favourite too. He gets the best lines and is so funny, plus Ian Sommehalder has been on my radar since he guest starred in Smaillville. Actually so did Paul West who played Stefan. No wonder I'm in lurve with Smallville. Not only do I get to perv on Tom Welling, but all the other hotties guest starring. Yummo.
